I need a solution
We are a University with mostly laptop computers issued to faculty and staff. We have a Layer 3 network, with each each floor in each build having it's own DHCP scope. We also have a layer 3 wireless network with each building having it's own DHCP scope.
As users move between wired and wireless and building to building, they get new IP's from the DHCP servers. (This is works as advertised). The problem is our Help Desk can't remote into the laptops during Help Desk Calls because Altiris can't find the active IP address.
Is there a way to better configure Altiris to fing the active IP, FQDN, or MAC address for every PC.
