AexAMinventory file is not created on Windows 8.1 machines

I need a solution

Hi,

customer has Windows 8.1 machines and he is experiencing problem with Application metering. Data are not sent to SMP server. We had case on Symantec and support guy found the same root cause as it is in https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH223947.html. Root cause is Secure boot. He mentioned that this will be fixed but only in upcoming ITMS version - 8.x or ?. Customer has 7.5 SP1 version.

Would it be possible to have fix for it in 7.5 because the version is still supported right?

You can imagine that testing new version can take lot of time which means customer can be one year without Application metering data on Win 8.1 machines. Disable secure boot is not acceptable workaround due to Company security reasons.
