Currently we are using version 7.5 but are unable to image newer lenovo porducts due to incompatability with newer NIC drivers. We are in the process of building server 2012 systems for ITMS 8.0. While we would like to migrate the CMDB to a new cluster and install 8.0 we are not able to upgrade or make any changes to service desk (still on 7.5). Instructions for tech support appear to state that we can not run two NS servers on the same network. I would like to know if anyone can say one way or another if we can do this. If not why and if so, is there anything we need to be conscious of in order to preserve service desk. We would need the imaging services, deployment, inventory, and patching on 8.0 to work independently of service desk 7.5 for about 3 months before we can take it offline for good.
