How to get the serial number off solid state drive?

I noticed Inventory Solution 7.6 does not capture the serial number off solid state drives.  Is there a way to collect this information through custom inventory?  Should the inventory agent be able to get this info and it isn't for some reason?  I just submitted a case for this too, but wanted to reach out to the community too.
