Network Discovery Task not working

I need a solution

I have been trying to discover network items so I can run an agentless inventory on them.  I have tried multiple device types (Cisco switch, HP printer, Windows 2008 server).  They all fail and give an error similar to this:

Log File Name: C:\ProgramData\Symantec\SMP\Logs\a.log

Priority: 1

Process: AtrsHost (2528)

Thread ID: 127

Module: AtrsHost.exe

Source: Altiris.DiscoveryTasks.DiscoverTask.OnExecute

Description: (Run Network Discovery Task Name Here) Discovery task failed: System.ApplicationException during discovery run: 'PPAException initializing PAL object: PAL.cpp(Line: 438)  PPA::PAL::Initialize()

MapperManager.cpp(Line: 168)  PPA::MapperManager::CacheAllMapperDSFs(): Could not obtain protocol mapper identified by: 809b1f11-f183-4bf1-8633-390f3da588b2.'.

I did some quick research and got a few hits with this PPAException pointing back to Dell.  I did originally have Dell Client Manager installed on the CMS server but have since uninstalled it.  I also ran a repair on the Client Management Suite on the server.  I keep getting this same error no matter what type of device I try to discover.

Any thoughts?  Is it related to Dell Client Manager?  Do I need to put that program back on to make network discovery work again?  It did originally work (I don't recall when exactly), though, because I have been able to discover network printers before.
