How to upgrade to the latest CMS version?

I need a solution

Hello,

We need to upgrade our CMS installation to the latest version. We have 7.1 SP1 (see image below) and we don't use yet the DS feature because we're using DS 6.9 instead. We use CMS only for Patch Management and some local software distribution (all our applications are virtualized using SWV).

We have seen these 2 docs:

where we've seen that we need to upgrade first to 7.1 SP2 and after that to SP2 MP1.1. The steps in these docs and in the page 62 of "Symantec™ Management Platform 7.1 SP2 Installation Guide" indicates that we need to prepare the environment (backup, check some things, clean some directories, etc.) and then perform the upgrade.

But our doubt is the following: do we need to login using the account used for CMS (application identity) or can we use the Administrator account as in the first installation?

I'm guessing that using the Administrator account will be great but I would like to confirm that.

And, any other advices or tips about this migration? (is easy or is complicated like the upgrade from 7.0 to 7.1?). Have you found any problems not commented in the guides?
