Hello Everyone,
This may be a very simple question for most of you but I was hoping you may be able to help me out. We are using Altiris CMS 7.1, we are a small-medium enterprise of about 5000 employees. We have around 142 remote sites all with their own package servers. What I am trying to do is reduce the overhead of the packages on sites that do not need all of the packages.
For example:
As it is right now, all packages and all updates are set to replicate to all package servers. There are some packages we would never need at these 142 sites, so for the sake of server build times, bandwidth control (these sites have rather slow connections), and space, I would like to set different packages to deploy (replicate) to certain sites.
I may be making this harder than it is, but can anyone help me think of the best, easiest way to do this?
