We've got a Microsoft EA so with the setup we have we could be getting the licensing for SCCM for free. I would prefer to keep Altiris so I'm trying to justify it but I'm having a hard time finding valid business cases to justify spending $$ next year to upgrade CMS and add AMS ver 7.5. The wall I keep hitting is we just renewed our EA so we have the SCCM cals we need now and there's no maintenance through 2016 with that solution vs spending $$/year on Altiris annual support.
There's got to be people out there that were able to fight this fight and win to keep SCCM out but I'm having trouble finding the necessary resources. PLEASE HELP!!!
The biggest cases I'm finding surround MACs & Linux however we're not heavy users in either of those areas.
