We are deploying Altiris in the whole corporation, and we have a product which has two options, Viewer and Full App, with the same MSI. The only difference is the activation Key. Firstly we deployed completely with the same name, but in order to manage compliance better, we have decided to change viewer installation, adding "Viewer" to ADD/Remove programs entry and also in the MSI registy key but we are experiencing that it shows both entries. We are still doing some tests in order to understand better how discovery and inventory work, but have you experience on this matter? How does update this information? How manages unisntall information? Do we need to launch specuial inventory tasks or policies in order to remove all the uninstalled products?
