SMP 7.1 SP2 inventory Hung

Hi All

I have a SMP 7.1 Sp2 solution in place that we are seeing inventory jobs hanging.  I can find plenty of troubleshooting steps to find out why they are hanging but they do not explain how to kill processes that are running and blocking  new processes from starting.  I know the default timeout on an inventory task is 6 hours but we have jobs that have been running for weeks without timing out and blocking other tasks that end up queuing behind them

I realize this is probably fixed in a later version but this is an inherited system that we are moving to 7.6 shortly but need to get several projects finished before that happens which rely on inventory tasks running

Any help would be greatly appreciated
